Saiosh Comments - Draft Regulations for Hazardous Chemical Agents 2024

The Minister of Employment and Labour (DEL), on 5 April 2024, published the Draft Regulations for Hazardous Chemical Agents 2024 for public comment. Saiosh circulated the Draft Regulations for Hazardous Chemical Agents to all members and arranged a webinar presentation by the relevant officials from the DEL.

Saiosh established a Saiosh Technical Committee (STC) to review the Draft Regulations for Hazardous Chemical Agents. The STC consists of Occupational Health and Safety Professionals, Occupational Hygienists, Occupational Health Medical Practitioners, Occupational Health and Safety Legal Practitioners as well as representatives of Approved Inspection Authorities. It took approximately 80 person-hours for the STC to complete the comments. The Saiosh comments on the Draft Lead Regulations were submitted to the DEL on 3 June 2024.
