| 2024 World Day for Safety and Health at WorkFriday, 12 April 2024

World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2024 Every 28 April, the International Labour Organization commemorates the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, focusing on a timely theme related to occupational safety and health. This year, the theme will focus on exploring the impacts of climate change on occupational safety and health. Changing weather patterns have notable impacts on the world of work, particularly affecting workers safety and health. Examples of occupational risks exacerbated by climate change include heat stress, UV radiation, air pollution, major industrial accidents, extreme weather events, an increase in vector-borne diseases and increased exposure to chemicals. On 25 April 2024, the International Labour Organization (ILO) will launch a NEW global report on: “Ensuring safety and health at work in a changing climate”. The global event will bring together experts and world of work stakeholders to discuss the latest findings and share experiences and insights. You can attend this historic event live: When: 25 April | 13:30 – 15:00 SAST Where: Live online https://live.ilo.org/ For more information on the 2024 World Day for Safety and Health at Work,visit www.ilo.org/safeday or contact the ILO at safeday@ilo.org
