Saiosh Comments - Draft Noise Induced Hearing Loss Regulations 2022

The Minister of Employment and Labour (DEL), on 21 October 2022, published the Draft Noise Induced Hearing Loss Regulations 2022 (NIHL) for public comments. Saiosh circulated the Draft NIHL Regulations to all members and arranged a webinar presentation by the relevant officials from the DEL.

Saiosh established a Saiosh Technical Committee (STC) to review the Draft NIHL Regulations. The STC consists of Occupational Health and Safety Professionals, Occupational Hygienists, Occupational Health Medical Practitioners, Occupational Health and Safety Legal Practitioners as well as representatives of Approved Inspection Authorities. It took approximately 120 person-hours for the STC to complete the comments. The Saiosh comments on the Draft NIHL Regulations were submitted to the DEL on 20 January 2022.
