            | The Minister of Employment and Labour, has given notice that he intends, in terms of Section 43 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No. 85 of 1993), to make the Regulations for Biological Hazardous Agents in the schedule.
                        The Minister has given 90 days, from the date of publication of this notice, which was on 31 July 2020, to submit comment on the draft regulations. |

 Jabulile Mhlophe   
    Jabulile Mhlophe, Specialist Occupational Health and Hygiene: Department of Employment and Labour, will be unpacking the Draft Regulations for Biological Hazardous Agents and compare it to the existing regulations, highlighting the changes.
   
   Jabulile is a Specialist in Occupational Health and Hygiene at the Department of Employment and Labour. She is responsible for the Regulations for Hazardous Biological Agents. Jabulile is qualified as an Environmental Health Officer, having B-Tech in Environmental Health. She is presently studying for her Masters in Public Health with Wits University. In May 1989, she started her career practising as an Environmental Health Officer with Department of Health and in July 2017, she moved to the Department of Employment and Labour to join the Occupational Health and Hygiene Directorate.     "Saiosh - Keeping You Informed"
