Department of Labour calls on Saiosh Members to
Report Unsafe Work

The Chief Inspector of the Department of Labour, Tibor Szana, recently paid a visit to Saiosh to discuss a closer working relationship and collaboration between the Department and Saiosh. The meeting was a continuation of previous discussions that Saiosh had with the Department, the meeting took place at the new Saiosh Head Office, Braehead Office Park, 1 Old Main Road, Kloof.
Areas of discussions included:
- Improving compliance and reducing incidents to zero as per the Zero Harm Strategy.
- Working on joint projects /initiatives in order to improve health and safety in various sectors.
- Signing a Memorandum of Understading (MoU)
Report Unsafe Work:
The Chief Inspector extended an invitation to all Saiosh Members to report unsafe work and unsafe practices to the Department's Provincial Chief Inspectors (PCI's) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Specialists.
