OHS Practitioner Salary Survey Results
An
OHS Practitioner Salary Survey was conducted by one of Saiosh's founder
members, Shane Lishman, on behalf of Saiosh to explore the current
average salary scales in South Africa and abroad. This is the first of
its kind and there were 318 respondents to the survey. Preliminary results have been released: The average salary scales for: - A Certificate qualification in Safety = R23,244 per month
- A Diploma qualification in Safety = R28,111 per month
- A BTech qualification in Safety = R35,839 per month
Of
interest, persons who have other qualifications (not in Safety), who
work in the Health and Safety field averaged R27,662 per month.
Further
to these results, it was found that 83.01% of the respondents were
registered with a Health and Safety organisation, nationally or
internationally.
