Members shall strive through personal initiative to maintain professional competence, and keep abreast of emerging issues and trends in the field of Occupational Safety and Health. Members shall contribute to the development of the Occupational Safety and Health profession through the sharing of skills, ideas and participation in networking to promote and enhance the competence of the profession. 

It is a requirement for Technical (TechSaiosh), Graduate (GradSaiosh) and Chartered (CMSaiosh) members to complete CPD. It is however recommended that members at all levels complete CPD to ensure improvement, knowledge and skills enhancement as well as the development of personal qualities to ensure professional execution of duties throughout the Occupational Safety and Health Professional or Practitioner’s career. Failing to complete CPD could result in members being deregistered.
