Robin Jones


Robin practiced Occupational Health and Safety for more than 40 years. He started as a Teacher and moved into Industrial Training. He persuaded the company where he worked to employ a Safety Officer and was given the additional job. Robin later dropped the Industrial Training part and specialised in Health and Safety. He was a Chartered Member of Saiosh (CMSaiosh) a retired Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).

Harold Gaze


Harold is employed by OCCUTECH as the Managing Member. OCCUTECH is an AIA for all aspects of Occupational Hygiene. He is also an AIA for MHI Risk Assessments. He has a number of qualifications in noise control, air pollution, occupational hygiene, health and safety, environmental health and education (HDE). He is a Certified Occupational Hygienist –SA and UK, Certified Environmental Assessor and Auditor (UK), MHI Risk Assessor (SANAS and DOL). His experience includes 25 years of education and training and 40 years of assessing work environments. He is a Chartered Member of Saiosh (CMSaiosh) a Chartered Member IOSH (CMIOSH).

Wally Robins


Wally is retired from the The Msunduzi Municipality where he worked as the Health, Safety and Loss Control Manager, he was employed by the municipality since 1995. He started his working career in January 1965 as an apprentice Mechanical Fitter, he worked in the trade until July 1985. He was seconded to the Safety Risk Management Department with Eskom in that year. He studied further and achieved a National Higher Diploma (BTech) in Safety Management in 1996 and has been practicing in that field ever since. He is a Chartered Member of Saiosh (CMSaiosh) and a retired Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).

Neels Nortje


Neels started his working career with ESKOM in 1981 where he qualified as an Architectural Draughtsman. In 1986 he changed his focus to Safety Risk Management and qualified with ESKOM as an Occupational Health and Safety Risk Management Officer. He holds a N6 Mechanical and Electrical Engineering qualification as well as a National Diploma in Safety Management. He has been practicing Occupational Health and Safety for the past 30 years. He was appointed by the Minister of Labour to serve on the Minister's Advisory Council for Occupational Health and Safety (ACOHS). He is a Chartered Member of Saiosh (CMSaiosh) and a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).

Colin Hull


Colin was a Chief Fire Officer. He had 48 years experience in Disaster Management and 37 years experience in petro /chemical fire fighting. He held a Diploma in Personnel and Training Management and was qualified in advanced rescue techniques in South Africa and overseas. He was a Chartered Member of Saiosh (CMSaiosh) and a retired Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).

Shane Lishman


Shane started his career with Transnet as a Environmental Health Officer, and was with them for 10 years. During that time he became a Registered Professional Occupational Hygienist. Shane has also worked in construction, paper and pulp, and had a consultancy for 5 years specializing in HSE Project Management mainly to the petrochemical industry providing HSE shutdown and turnaround service management, training and HSE Technical Advice. Early in Shane’s career he also consulted as an Occupational Hygienist. Shane is a HSE consultant to Industry. Specialist - International Institute Risk and Safety Management - Recognized Safety Practitioner (SIIRSM RSP), and a Chartered Member of Saiosh (CMSaiosh) and a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH). Shane is also registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board in the UK. Shane is also accredited (HSE Executive-UK) and is registered on the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR) in the UK.

Siven Naidoo


Siven’s career in Health and Safety began in 1997 when he joined JT Ross & Son Construction. After 9 years with them he joined Stefanutti and Bressan now Stefanutti Stocks Building KZN where he currently serves as their OHS Manager. Siven currently serves on the Master Builders KZN OHS Committee. Over the years he has won numerous safety awards and also served as the Chairperson of the Saiosh KZN Branch. He is a Technical Member of Saiosh (TechSaiosh) and a Technical Member of IOSH.
